The Argentine government has established a 2.5% increase in electricity rates and a 2.7% increase in gas rates, seeking to adjust subsidies and consolidate the fiscal surplus.

The national government has announced an increase of 2.5% in electricity rates and 2.7% in gas rates. These increases have been established through resolutions published in the Official Bulletin, and they add to a 2.75% increase in fuel prices. The objective of these measures is to take advantage of the recent decrease in inflation in October to continue the tariff adjustment process, which aims to reduce subsidies and strengthen the fiscal surplus.

According to the announcement, the 2.5% increase in the electricity rate is already in effect and includes a 6% increase in transportation and distribution charges. As for gas, the 2.7% increase will take effect next week and consists of both the price of gas itself, which adjusts to the official dollar, and a 3.5% increase in transportation and distribution charges.

The government has indicated that these increases are considered necessary "updates" to maintain stable revenues for the companies. It is noteworthy that gas tariffs by region have been established as follows:
