Increased Budget for Security and Social Agencies in Argentina

The Ministry of Security and the Argentine Naval Prefecture will see their budgets increased for the acquisition of equipment and police control tasks, especially focused on fishing activities. This increase will occur within the modifications approved in the budget for the 2024 fiscal year, which also includes the financing of the National Administration of Social Security (ANSES) through the sale of military area assets, according to Administrative Decision 1015/2024 signed by Guillermo Francos and Luis Caputo.

Within the framework of these modifications, a notable increase in resources for ANSES is highlighted, aimed at extraordinary subsidies for retirees and pensioners, as well as a boost in credits from the National Disability Agency for beneficiaries of non-contributory pensions. The resolution emphasizes the need to increase the budget to cover the operational expenses of the agency and the payment of extraordinary subsidies.

Moreover, the Ministry of Defense will experience budget expansions to finance the 2024-2025 Summer Antarctic Campaign and the operation of military hospitals, through resources coming from the sale of goods and services. The National Atomic Energy Commission will also see an increase in its budget to cover operational expenses, just like the National Parks Administration, which is aimed at covering expenses in protected natural areas.

Other areas benefiting from these modifications include the National Genetic Data Bank, which will receive a boost in its credits for its operation and consumption. On the other hand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will have additional resources to address personnel needs, and the National Treasury's Procurement Office, under the Ministry of Justice, will have greater funds allocated for the training of state lawyers.
