New Customs Users Profile in Argentina

The Revenue and Customs Control Agency (ARCA) has introduced a new role aimed at customs users to simplify access and management of procedures for those not registered in the Special Customs Registries. This new profile is called "Individual Users of the Customs Service" (UPSA) and is part of the Customs Procedures IT System (SITA).

Joining the UPSA will be optional and will be done through the SITA web services and the Customs Electronic Communication and Notification System (SICNEA), using the CUIT, CUIL, or CDI along with the corresponding Tax Code. This initiative aims to allow users to submit documents and communicate with the customs service electronically, avoiding the need to physically visit an office.

Additionally, users will have the option to manage the authorization and revocation of permits for third parties to carry out procedures on their behalf, and an electronic notification system will be established for them to receive updated information on the status of their online procedures.

In the words of a representative of ARCA: "This new tool aims to streamline and modernize customs processes, facilitating remote procedures for users, providing greater convenience and efficiency in their management."
