Boca Juniors Considers Sale of Cristian Medina

Boca Juniors club has accepted the offer from Turkey's Fenerbahçe for midfielder Cristian Medina. However, the completion of the sale is subject to a change in the proposed payment terms by the Turkish team, otherwise, the Argentine player will remain with the xeneize team.

The transfer of Medina would be for a total of 10 million dollars, plus 5 million in variables upon achieving objectives, with Boca retaining 20% of a future sale of the 22-year-old player. Fenerbahçe proposes an initial payment of 2.8 million dollars at the time of signing, followed by four semi-annual installments starting in April 2026, which would mean that Boca would not receive any money for Medina throughout 2025.

In this situation, Boca president Juan Román Riquelme and the Football Council are seeking to renegotiate the payment terms to receive the income in a closer timeframe. Medina expressed his desire to join the Turkish club and declared that he would not play if the offer was not accepted.

The team's coach, Fernando Gago, left Medina off the list of call-ups, despite being one of the standout midfielders of the squad. However, the player could still participate in matches if he demonstrates commitment and a positive attitude in training, even if his transfer to Fenerbahçe or another team is finalized.
