The National Administration of Social Security (ANSES) has confirmed a new increase in pensions and retirements according to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC). Starting in November, benefits are expected to increase by 3.5%, based on the inflation recorded in September 2024. This increase will also impact other social benefits managed by ANSES.
Private consultants have projected that the inflation for October will remain around 3.3%, which would result in a similar increase in benefits and bring the minimum pension to about $261,140. Consequently, the estimated Christmas bonus would remain around $130,570. However, these calculations may vary depending on the types of products and services considered.
ANSES has announced the payment dates for the December bonus for retirees in 2024, with the activation of the payment schedule starting on Monday, December 9, depending on the ending of the National Identity Document (DNI) number. The bonus will be calculated at 50% of the minimum benefit registered during the second semester.
Retirees whose documents end in 0 will be paid on December 9, 2024, while those ending in 1 will be paid on December 10. The dates for documents ending in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 will vary until December 23, depending on the last number of their DNI. This schedule aims to facilitate payments to beneficiaries as the Christmas season approaches.
