In the first quarter of 2026, a total of 384,181 vehicles were registered, marking a 20.1% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. According to the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), the motorcycle category experienced the most significant growth, with registrations surging by 58.2% in March 2026 compared to March 2025. A total of 82,071 motorcycles were registered, with 97.1% being domestically produced and 2.9% imported. The automobile category also saw an increase, with 33,830 new cars registered, a 3.3% rise from the same month last year. Of these, 97% were domestic and 3% imported. Conversely, registrations for transport and cargo vehicles decreased by 2.3%, totaling 14,521 units. Trailer registrations grew by 28.1%, reaching 1,204 units. Finally, registrations for agricultural, road, and industrial machinery (MAVI) increased by 16.8%, totaling 875 units, with 17.6% domestic and 82.4% imported.
