The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) officially confirmed a 2.90% increase in April pensions for retirees, as well as the amounts of family allowances and family income limits. The updated values, which will be in effect for the fourth month of the year, are in line with February's inflation data and were formalized through Resolutions 74 and 79/2026 published in the Official Gazette, to which the Argentine News Agency had access. The social security agency established in the official text that “the guaranteed minimum pension amount in effect from April 2026 will be 380,319.31 pesos”. With the 70,000 peso bonus, the lowest pensions will reach 450,319.31 pesos. The maximum pension, starting next month, will be 2,559,188.80 pesos. The Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) will rise to 374,255 pesos. Meanwhile, with the officialized increase, the holders of universal allowances for social protection will come to collect: Universal Child Allowance (AUH) and for Pregnancy: 136,666 pesos (general value). AUH and Pregnancy - Zone I (La Pampa, Chubut, Neuquén, Río Negro, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands and the Partido de Patagones, in the province of Buenos Aires): 177,666 pesos. AUH and Prenatal Family Allowance for formal sector workers - General value. Family Income Group (IGF) not exceeding 1,058,088: 68,341 will be paid per child. IGF over 1,058,088 and up to 1,551,789: 46,099 will be paid per child. IGF over 1,551,789 and up to 1,791,592: 27,883 will be received per child. IGF over 1,791,592 and up to 5,603,102: 14,386 will be paid per child. Allowance for a Child with a Disability - General value. Family Income Group (IGF) not exceeding 1,058,088: 222,511 will be paid per child. IGF over 1,058,088 and up to 1,551,789: 157,412 will be paid per child. IGF over 1,551,789: 99,347 will be received per child. For Monotributo taxpayers, the amount of family allowances for children and prenatal care varies by category: Categories A: 68,341. Category B: 46,099. Category C: 27,883. Categories D, E, F, G: 14,386. As for the allowances that ANSES pays as a one-time payment, among them are Marriage, Birth and Adoption, starting next month they will grant the following amounts: Birth: 79,660. Adoption: 476,268. Marriage: 119,275. Annual School Aid: 55,672 (general value). The increase that updates the detailed amounts also applies to war veterans, holders of the Argentine integrated pension system, and those of unemployment benefits, among other economic assistance programs. In Article 4 of the regulation, it was clarified that “the perception of an income exceeding 2,801,551 by one of the members of the family group, excludes said group from the collection of family allowances, even if the sum of their income does not exceed the maximum income limit established”.
