Argentina's Service Exports Hit Record High

According to data from Argentina's National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), in 2025, exports of services in the Knowledge Economy reached a record $9.6 billion, marking an 8.1% year-on-year increase, the highest value to date. This indicator shows that the Knowledge Economy accounts for more than half of the services Argentina exports to the world, representing 53% of total external sales. The Ministry of Economy, led by Luis 'Toto' Caputo, published a communiqué announcing last year's record exports of $9.6 billion, which constitutes more than half of the country's service exports. According to the Ministry's Subsecretariat of Industry and the Knowledge Economy, the sector surpassed 285,000 formal jobs in 2025, representing the creation of 9,000 jobs compared to the previous year and 17,000 compared to 2023. The average remuneration in the sector is above the rest of the economy, a differential associated with high demand for talent and the required degree of specialization. With this performance, the sector consolidates itself as the country's third-largest export complex, behind the oilseed-cereal and oil-petrochemical sectors, and as a key source of foreign exchange generation. In this sense, 80% of the workforce has a university degree, positioning the sector among the most qualified activities in the country and as a key driver of quality employment.
