Argentina has commenced loading the first commercial vessel with wheat destined for China. This event, attended by high-ranking officials from both nations, opens a significant new trade route between the countries.

Argentina is loading the first commercial bulk shipment of wheat to China, marking the opening of a new trade flow between the two countries. The cargo, approximately 65,000 metric tons, is destined for the milling industry. The vessel MV Shandong Fu Yi is being loaded at the COFCO International terminal in Timbúes and will then complete its loading at the Puerto Quequén before sailing to China. President Javier Milei sent his congratulations through his office. High-ranking officials attended the vessel's loading operation in Timbúes, including Wei Wang, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Argentine Republic; Maximiliano Pullaro, Governor of Santa Fe Province; José Puccini, Minister of Productive Development of Santa Fe; and Antonio Fiorenza, Mayor of Timbúes. Wei Dong, CEO of COFCO International; Sun Bao, Chairman of COFCO Trading; and Alfonso Romero, Managing Director of COFCO International Argentina, were also present as part of a client delegation from China. COFCO International is one of the most important grain and agribusiness process exporters in Argentina, employing more than 1,400 people in the country.
