The Argentine oil company YPF will allow payments with cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, for the purchase of its products and fuels. This function will be carried out through the YPF application, via a mobile device. To make the payment, the person must have a bank account enabled in dollars. The funds will enter the oil company's digital ecosystem through a transfer from the enabled account to a current account in dollars of YDI, the company's digital and financial services company. For the time being, Banco Santander will be used as the technological support for transfers, according to journalist Andrés Sanguinetti. According to the Argentine News Agency, the measure is in line with the new implementation methods that YPF allows, which included the possibility of paying in dollars from its mobile application.
