Buenos Aires Province Modernizes Road Infrastructure

The province of Buenos Aires continues with road works on various regional routes to provide greater road safety to the millions of users who daily travel the multiple roads connecting to the Atlantic coast, the ports, and the deep interior of the Buenos Aires territory.

In this context, as reported by the Argentine News Agency, Minister of Infrastructure and Public Services Gabriel Katopodis visited the area and, together with other officials from various provincial and municipal areas, toured the progress of the project to transform Provincial Route 41 into a highway. This is a strategic intervention to improve connectivity and road safety in the northeast of Buenos Aires.

The works include the construction of a second carriageway parallel to the existing one, as well as repaving and widening the current road, which will reach a width of 7.3 meters. In addition, the construction of three pedestrian bridges in urban areas and 18 bridges over watercourses is planned, which will facilitate the connection between both carriageways without affecting the flow of traffic.

In terms of complementary infrastructure, a roundabout will be built at the height of National Route 7; level crossings over the Urquiza General Railway and on the connection with Avenida Colón, on the access to San Andrés de Giles; and over the Mitre Railway and the accesses to San Antonio de Areco and Vagues.
