The Human Capital Ministry's benefits program and ANSES continue to expand, offering additional discounts and rebates to retirees and pensioners in the country's main supermarkets. As part of the program, according to Agencia Noticias Argentinas, it continues to add stores, financial institutions, and new savings days, thereby helping the domestic economy of the millions of retirees in the country. ANSES officially announced a measure that will impact millions of Argentines this Christmas. In addition to the existing offers from Banco Nación (BNA) and Banco Galicia, Banco Supervielle is now joining, offering savings of up to $50,000 per month and interest-free installments for purchases in supermarkets and pharmacies. Retirees and pensioners who receive their payments at Banco Supervielle will get a 20% discount when paying with a debit card (with a cap of 25,000 pesos) or by paying with QR (with a cap of 15,000 pesos; or 40,000 pesos when combining both payment methods) on Tuesdays at supermarkets Jumbo, Disco, Vea, Chango Más, and a 25% discount with no cap at Coto. Additionally, there is a 50% discount on pharmacy items on Tuesdays, whether paid with a debit card or QR (with a cap of 6,000 pesos per payment method; or 12,000 pesos if combined), as well as 3 interest-free installments every day at affiliated pharmacies with a credit card. If purchases are made in e-commerce (Tienda Supervielle on Mercado Libre), it offers a 15% discount with a debit card (cap of 10,000 pesos) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the pharmacy and supermarket categories; and every day, 3 interest-free installments with a VISA credit card, except on Thursdays when it offers 12 interest-free installments. Retirees and pensioners who receive their payments at Banco Nación, through an agreement with the Banco de la Nación Argentina (BNA), will receive an exclusive additional 5% rebate on purchases made through BNA + MODO, with a debit or credit card (with a monthly cap of 20,000 pesos) at supermarkets Carrefour, Chango Mas, Coto, Josimar, La Anónima, Disco, Jumbo, and Vea. Also, the bank will deposit a daily percentage of remuneration (TNA 32%) on the balance they have in their accounts (up to 500,000 pesos). Retirees and pensioners who receive their payments at Banco Galicia, on the other hand, will get up to 25% in savings and 3 interest-free installments on purchases with debit or credit cards (with a monthly cap of 20,000 pesos in supermarkets and 12,000 in pharmacies and optical stores). And those who have a FIMA remunerated account will receive daily returns on the money credited to their accounts (TNA 33.2%) with no cap on the balance to be remunerated. Discounts in supermarkets: Disco — 10% on all categories* + 20% on perfumery and cleaning, with no cap. Not cumulative with other promotions. Finally, the communication informs, with an asterisk, that the commercial brand means that it includes meat and does not include electronics and selected brands. Cap $2,000 per transaction. And the one with two asterisks is because meat is excluded, but it includes electronics and selected brands. With this expansion, beneficiaries have more alternatives to reduce essential expenses and take advantage of exclusive promotions.
