Buenos Aires, November 26 (NA) -- The resource calculation presented in the last session anticipates that more than half of the funds will come from the Province, with Health, Public Works, and Social Development concentrating a large part of the expenditure, in a context of almost zero national contributions. According to what the Argentine News Agency learned, the Deliberative Council of Esteban Echeverría received in its last session the municipal budget project for 2026, which sets a resource calculation of 151,756 million pesos, around 20% more than what was approved for this year, the commune reported based on numbers prepared by the local Executive. According to the official breakdown, the district plans to finance itself with about 69,000 million pesos of municipal origin —taxes and own income— and close to 82,000 million that would arrive through transfers from the Province. In the distribution by areas: Health will take a little more than 36,000 million pesos. Public Works, more than 18,000 million. Social Development, more than 13,000 million. Agency for Sustainable Development, about 22,000 million. Security will be assigned around 9,000 million. The text entered before the change of councilors scheduled for December, so the ruling party hopes to achieve approval with the current composition of the body. Within the Executive, they point out that the moderate increase compared to 2025 —well below the accumulated inflation of the year— seeks to show "fiscal prudence" in a context of falling revenue and cuts in national funds.
