Wholesale dollar rises to $1.130 in Argentina

The wholesale dollar experiences an increase reaching $1,130, which could exert pressure on other quotes during the day. Meanwhile, the blue dollar is quoted at $1,170. President Javier Milei reported that the Country Risk starts at 678 points at the opening of today’s negotiations.

On the other hand, Milei expressed on his social media: "We have broken through 700 bps... They will not be able to stop the advance of the ideas of LIBERTY... LONG LIVE LIBERTY, DAMN IT!" This reaction from the president seems to reflect a market interpretation of support for the country despite the non-approval of the Clean Slate Law.

For the government, it is extremely important that the Country Risk decreases to 400 points, given that a return to voluntary debt markets is required. Meanwhile, the official dollar remains at $1,152, the MEP falls to $1,146, and the Cash with Settlement is at $1,153.
