Actor Jorge Sesan, known for his participation in the series Okupas and currently in El Eternauta, shared in a recent interview his concern about the economic difficulties he faces in his career. Despite the popularity of El Eternauta and his participation in the series, Sesan revealed that he cannot live off his profession and must resort to side jobs, such as painting apartments, to supplement his income.
In his statements, Jorge Sesan expressed his disappointment over the lack of support from authorities and criticized President Javier Milei for his disrespect towards certain sectors of the arts. Sesan compared Milei and his colleagues to "cascarudos, the armed wing of something much larger and destructive," showing his discontent with the current situation.
Despite being part of successful productions, Jorge Sesan reflected the reality of many workers in the arts and culture in Argentina, who face constant job instability. The actor acknowledged that acting does not provide stable income for most, and that moving forward in the industry requires sacrifices and additional efforts, such as taking on supplementary work to make ends meet.
