Former deputy and founder of the Civic Coalition, Elisa Carrió, in a television interview, mentioned that she spoke with all the parties involved to ensure the signing of the agreement, warning about possible obstacles from devaluationist groups and other actors who do not wish for the success of economist Javier Milei or the country in general. Carrió emphasized the importance of the agreement in the current complicated scenario of the Argentine Central Bank. She stated that, despite not having supported decrees in the past, she considers that this time it is necessary and urgent to avoid negative consequences for the nation.
In her statements, Carrió criticized those advocating for a devaluation, pointing out the alleged combination of interests between sectors linked to Kirchnerism and the Left to thwart in Congress the consideration of the DNU of the agreement with the IMF. She mentioned that former president Cristina Kirchner and certain local economic groups seek to sabotage the stabilization plan intended to be implemented, highlighting the impossibility of progressing without a constant flow of new funds.
In this sense, Carrió supported the Decree of Necessity and Urgency issued by the Government regarding the future pact with the International Monetary Fund. She explained her position by emphasizing the urgent need for fresh funds to carry out the stabilization program in a complicated economic context.
