Carlos Melconian Criticizes Milei's Economy

Economist Carlos Melconian expressed his opinion at ExpoAgro, stating that the National Government lacks a plan for economic stability. He criticized President Javier Milei, asserting that he has the conviction of a Secretary of Treasury and not that of a president. Melconian also questioned the uncontrolled issuance of pesos for 'benign' and 'virtuous' reasons, refuting the idea that more bills are not being printed.

In his statements, Melconian discredited Milei's exchange rate policy, calling it a 'farce,' although he agreed on the need to reform public works in Argentina. During his participation in the Economic Forum of ExpoAgro, titled 'Milei Year II: How does this movie continue? It's a disaster,' he emphasized the seriousness of the current economic situation.

Additionally, the economist criticized Kirchnerism for the increase in public spending and the consequent rise in poverty in the country. He also targeted trade unions, stating that they are the only ones interested in working formally to collect their dues. Melconian highlighted the lack of a coherent plan by the Government to stabilize the economy and provide certainty to citizens and investors.
