
In February, automotive terminals experienced a notable increase in their activity and attributed this growth to the tax reductions implemented by the national government. According to the ADEFA report, vehicle production reached 42,419 units, representing a 41.1% increase compared to January and a 13.1% increase over February 2024.
On the other hand, exports also showed encouraging figures, with 22,496 vehicles sent abroad, a 102.1% increase compared to January, despite a slight decrease of 4.6% compared to February 2024. In terms of domestic sales, 45,617 units were sold to the dealership network in February, an increase of 33.8% compared to the previous month and 37.3% compared to the same month of the previous year.
During the first two months of the year, a total of 72,477 vehicles were produced, marking a 20.5% increase compared to the same period of the previous year. In the field of exports, a total of 33,628 vehicles were sent in January and February, representing a 13.5% decrease compared to the previous year.
The president of ADEFA, MartÃn Zuppi, highlighted the positive performance of the sector and mentioned that, despite the reduced working days due to holidays and adjustments in plants for new investments, the industry showed solid behavior. Zuppi also emphasized the positive impact of the recent economic measures announced and underscored the importance of collaboration from provinces and municipalities to strengthen the automotive industry.
