During the long Carnival weekend, Aerolíneas Argentinas expects to transport more than 226,000 passengers from Friday, February 28, to Wednesday, March 5, according to a company statement. Today is expected to be the busiest day, with 42,000 passengers, followed by tomorrow with 40,000.

The most popular destinations within Argentina during this period are Bariloche, Iguazú, Ushuaia, Mendoza, Córdoba, El Calafate, Salta, Neuquén, and Tucumán. Internationally, there is a high number of trips to Rio de Janeiro.

Most of the 226,000 passengers are concentrated in domestic traffic, with 170,000 people traveling within the country. On the other hand, 38,000 passengers will fly to regional destinations, and the rest are distributed among routes to the Caribbean, the United States, and Europe.

Regarding regional flight traffic, an 8% increase has been observed compared to the same period last year, with Brazil being the main driver of this growth due to increased frequencies. It is noteworthy that flights to Punta Cana and Cancun have seen a 28% increase, establishing themselves as highly sought-after international destinations.

Aerolíneas Argentinas is working to consolidate its growth during the high season, demonstrating its commitment to connectivity and the economic sustainability of the company.
