JetSmart Introduces A321neo in Argentina

The low-cost airline JetSmart has introduced three new Airbus A321neo aircraft in Argentina, becoming the first company in the country to operate this model. With a capacity of 240 passengers per aircraft and a longer length than the A320, which the company currently uses in Argentina, this update represents a significant advancement in the Argentine aviation industry.

The arrival of these A321neo aircraft will help strengthen connectivity and tourism in Argentina, according to executives highlighted during the presentation event held at Jorge Newbery Airport. These aircraft will increase the availability of seats on both domestic and international flights, with a noise reduction of 50% compared to previous models and a fuel consumption reduction of more than 20%.

The aircraft are equipped with GTF Pratt & Whitney engines and feature a series of innovations, such as redesigned wing tips, a cabin designed to maximize efficiency, and seats covered with Eleather, a lighter material than traditional leather. According to company representatives, this reduction in seat weight will contribute to significant fuel savings and a decrease in CO2 emissions.

In the words of Gonzalo PĂ©rez Corral, Country Manager of JetSmart in Argentina: "We are proud to be pioneers in the incorporation of state-of-the-art aircraft and to bring the A321neo, the most efficient and sustainable aircraft in the region, to Argentina for the first time. Thanks to its cutting-edge technology and avant-garde design, it will not only strengthen national and international connectivity but also reaffirms our commitment to making aviation more accessible and sustainable for everyone."

This advancement in JetSmart's fleet represents an important milestone in its expansion and investment plan in Argentina, as well as its commitment to raising the standards of commercial aviation in the country to an international level.
