The Government confirmed that the $70,000 bonus for low-income beneficiaries will remain frozen throughout the year 2025. In addition, it was reported that the increase for Non-Contributory Pensions (PNC) for Disability and Old Age will be $195,557, reaching a total of $349,367 with the bonus, representing a real increase of 1.75%.
According to the latest updates, the start of classes in 2025 has been postponed. Regarding the payment dates for retirees and pensioners by ANSES, a schedule was established determining that payments will be made from March to December based on the termination of the ID number.
The 2.2% increase in pensions will take effect from March 2025, with a total amount to be received of $349,093 including the $70,000 bonus. The maximum pension will rise to $1,879,879, while the Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) will increase to $223,275.52, reaching $265,557 with the bonus.
Payments will be made according to a schedule established by ANSES. The Government confirmed that the 2.2% increase is linked to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of January and focuses on retirees and pensioners with lower incomes. If receiving an amount above the minimum, they can receive a proportional additional payment to match the amount disbursed to the lowest benefit plus the $70,000 bonus.
Additionally, it was specified that the payments corresponding to February will be made according to the termination of the ID number, both for pensions that do not exceed the minimum amount and for those that do. The dates will vary between February 10 and 28, depending on the last number of the identity document.
