Boca midfielder Kevin Zenón has attracted interest in Europe and received a concrete offer from Porto in Portugal, despite being a substitute in all four official matches of 2025 and being at the center of criticism after a mistake against Unión. Despite this, Boca decided to reject the Portuguese club's proposal.
Porto offered ten million dollars for the entire transfer of Zenón; however, Boca deemed this amount insufficient, as the player's release clause in the final stretch of the market is 20 million. Although the offer was rejected, the Football Council left the door open for further negotiations if Porto decides to improve its proposal.
If a transfer materializes, Boca would receive 80% of the amount, as they bought that portion of Zenón's transfer in 2024 for 3.5 million dollars, plus 25% of Mauro Luna Diale and the loan of Simón Rivero. The remaining 20% belongs to Unión, the club from which Zenón was acquired, and they are also attentive to any potential negotiations that involve a definitive sale of the player.
Zenón's situation at Boca is complex, as he is currently sidelined in the consideration of coach Fernando Gago.
