5.1% Salary Increase for Commerce Employees

The Argentine Federation of Commerce Employees (FAECYS) managed to achieve a 5.1% increase for commercial workers during the first collective bargaining negotiation of the year. This increase will be distributed in equivalent percentages throughout January, February, and March.

The union for commercial workers secured this quarterly increase of 5.1% for all employees under CCT 130/75. The increase will be divided as follows: 1.7% with January salaries, another 1.7% with February salaries, and a final 1.7% with March salaries. These increases will be calculated based on December 2024 salaries and will be paid as a non-remunerative and non-cumulative assignment.

Regarding cashiers, the amounts they will receive with the 1.7% increase will be as follows: for Cashier A $926,910, for Cashier B $931,547, for Cashier C $937,505, and for Cashier D $937,505.

Both business chambers and unions agreed to meet in April to discuss additional basic scales, amounts, and percentages. The union indicated that it will be paid under the denomination "Non-Remunerative Increase – Agreement January 2025," which means it must be considered in the calculation of additional bonuses for attendance and seniority.

This increase will have a direct impact on the salaries of the entire sector of commerce employees.
