
The company Albanesi is the main marketer of natural gas in Argentina and has an installed capacity of approximately 2000 megawatts through 10 plants equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Among these plants are the Ezeiza Thermal Power Plant in Carlos Spegazzini, the Solalban Thermal Power Plant in Bahía Blanca, the Modesto Maranzana Thermal Power Plant in Río Cuarto, and others located in provinces such as La Rioja, Río Negro, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, and Tucumán.
According to information provided by El Cronista, Albanesi obtained a local syndicated loan for an initial capital of USD 59 million, with the possibility of expanding it to USD 80 million with the incorporation of new banks. The loan term is two years with an annual interest rate of 8.75%. Among the financial entities that participated in the operation are Banco Hipotecario, Banco Galicia, Banco Supervielle, Banco Santander Argentina, and other provincial and service banks.
The destination of the obtained funds will be to settle short-term financial obligations in pesos, with the aim of extending deadlines and improving financial costs by migrating debts from pesos to dollars. Albanesi, an Argentine business group with 112 years of history in the local market, is mainly engaged in electricity generation and natural gas provision.
