Argentina Invited to Join IMF's New Advisory Council

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) invited the Ministry of Deregulation and State Transformation, led by Federico Sturzenegger, to join the new 'Advisory Council on Entrepreneurship and Growth' to contribute its expertise in state reforms. The Managing Director of the organization, Kristalina Georgieva, emphasized the importance of implementing reforms adapted to the realities of each member country in a column published in the Washington Post titled 'To restore global growth, ease barriers for entrepreneurs.'

'The world is watching Argentina, where pro-market reforms are revitalizing the economy in a way that was previously considered impossible,' Georgieva mentioned. The Ministry of Deregulation announced that Sturzenegger will participate as the sole speaker (virtually) in a seminar organized by Princeton University next Thursday, January 23. The topic will be 'The Chainsaw and Deregulation: the First Year of Javier Milei's Government.'

Additionally, it was reported that Markus Brunnermeier, a German economist specializing in economic crises and monetary policy, assistant to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, will deliver the introductory remarks. Sturzenegger will also have interventions at Carmen Reinhart's inaugural conference at LACEA and at the AIUIa Conference for Emerging Market Economies, organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the IMF.
