Shooting Incident at Political Event in Ushuaia

An act of support for Cristina Kirchner regarding the internal situation of the Justicialist Party in Ushuaia ended in an incident with gunfire at a basic unit where the mayor of the locality, Walter Vouto, was present. The event has led local authorities to investigate whether it is related to a union dispute with the Truckers' union, led by Pablo Moyano, as the injured person is Martín Pipet, linked to that union.

The incident was reported and authorities launched an operation to locate a black Audi mentioned by witnesses present at the PJ event in Tierra del Fuego. During the night, the police detained the general secretary of UTHGRA and a member of the Fuegian CGT, Ramón Calderón, along with his companion Maximiliano Perpetto, a delegate of the Justicialist Party. Perpetto is suspected of being responsible for the shooting.

It has been mentioned that Perpetto and Calderón may be involved in a union conflict with Truckers over the representation of port workers. Both will be interrogated regarding this incident at Instruction Court No. 3, under Dr. Federico Vidal. Meanwhile, the mayor has strongly condemned what happened, asserting that the event was one of peace and joy, emphasizing that politics should be a space for respect and dialogue, free from any kind of violence.
