New Fees Introduced for Glacier Martial Access

Glacier Martial in Ushuaia now imposes a fee for entrance: $10,000 for foreign tourists and $5,000 for nationals, while provincial residents enter for free. The fee covers safety and emergency services for trekkers.


New Fees Introduced for Glacier Martial Access

The Glacial Mountain Center Martial is part of a significant large glacier, where the Buena Esperanza stream originates, a key source of drinking water for the city. Access to the center requires a fee for foreign and national tourists, while residents of the province have free entry. Foreigners pay $10,000 and nationals pay $5,000.

The entrance fee includes security services for those practicing trekking in the mountain, emergency assistance, availability of UTV vehicles for transfers, VHF radio communication system in remote areas, first aid kit, immediate medical attention, high-complexity ambulance, and civil liability insurance.
