
On Route 3, between the Chubut cities of Trelew and Puerto Madryn, a serious accident occurred this Thursday morning around 7:30. A pickup truck towing a trailer, moving in a zigzag manner, collided head-on with a taxi, leaving all those involved injured.
The taxi driver, who was traveling alone towards the airport, was seriously injured after being trapped in his vehicle following the impact. Medical personnel from the Trelew Zonal Hospital and Volunteer Firefighters quickly intervened at the scene to rescue him.
According to reports from local media, both the occupants of the pickup truck, four people heading towards Trelew, and the taxi driver suffered injuries and are in shock. It has not been confirmed whether either of the drivers was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
