El Negro Sombra killed in Tigre

Sergio Orlando Leiva, known as "El Negro Sombra", a criminal with an extensive criminal record, was killed in the settlement of Talar de Pacheco, Tigre party, after receiving multiple gunshots. His violent death brings an end to a life marked by crime and raises questions about the circumstances of the murder and possible links to drug trafficking.

In his criminal record, Leiva was involved in several notorious kidnappings and homicides, including the kidnapping of Rubén Astrada and the kidnapping of Ernesto Rodríguez, father of Jorge “Corcho” Rodríguez. In 2005, he was sentenced to 21 years in prison for the murders of Mariano Menéndez and Guillermo Lindon in 2002. Subsequently, in 2019, Leiva obtained house arrest after serving more than two-thirds of his sentence.

Leiva's murder took place at the intersection of Pasaje San Pablo and Marcos Sastre, where he was shot under circumstances still under investigation. Despite his criminal record, Leiva had been granted parole in 2019 and was continuing to serve his sentence at home under electronic monitoring.

The Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) of El Talar, the Departmental Directorate of Investigations (DDI) of San Isidro, and the AMBA Norte Security Superintendency are working on identifying and capturing those responsible for the crime. The possible connection of the murder to the underworld of drug trafficking has sparked various conjectures about the nature of the confrontation that led to Leiva's death.
