Tigre Expands Its Network of Smart Security Totems

The municipality of Tigre continues to expand the network of smart security totems in plazas, waterfront promenades, and commercial areas of the district. This is part of the strategy to reinforce the Citizen Protection System, which operates 24 hours a day from the Tigre Operations Center (COT).

According to the Argentine News Agency, the devices allow any resident or tourist to immediately communicate with the COT via an emergency button. They are equipped with a camera, speaker, and beacon light to assist in cases of criminal incidents, accidents, or situations of violence in public spaces.

In parallel, the administration led by Mayor Julio Zamora is incorporating new patrol vehicles, video surveillance technology, and monitoring software, with the goal of integrating cameras, totems, and patrols into a single rapid-response network for emergencies throughout the district.
