Six Linde Praxair workers, dismissed in December 2024, presented themselves today at the factory located in Pacheco, Buenos Aires, after the Ministry of Labor of the Province ordered their reinstatement. However, the company refused to allow them entry, claiming that formal and legal aspects were missing in the reconciliation.
Maxi Arecco, one of the dismissed workers, mentioned: "The company still hasn’t let us in, arguing that the reconciliation has some pending legal issues. They tell us they do not reject the reconciliation, but that they have legal reasons to deny us entry."
The hearing at the Ministry of Labor's Tigre Delegation, which only had representatives from the company due to the absence of the SPIOYP from CABA and Adjacent Areas, generated the workers’ demand for a new meeting with the Ministry. The Ministry of Labor of the Province intervened to maintain social peace, requesting the reinstatement of the workers for 15 working days.
After a prolonged process of mobilizations and protest actions, the Ministry of Labor of Buenos Aires imposed mandatory reconciliation. Various union and political organizations supported the workers during the protests. Among them, notable unions included banking, graphic, and aeronautical workers, as well as political organizations like the Justicialist Party of Tigre and La Cámpora.
The workers plan to call for a new meeting of the Solidarity Committee with the Workers of Linde Praxair to continue the fight for reinstatement.
