Approval for New Sports Facility in Temperley

Last Saturday, February 15th, at the "Juan Justo Colás" Multi-Sports Gym, the Atlético Temperley Club held an Extraordinary Assembly with the presence of 173 members. In this meeting, the Board of Directors, led by President Alberto Lecchi, presented the current situation of the Guernica property and proposed a plan for its reorganization.

After the discussions, the Assembly approved the proposal from the Board of Directors, allowing the signing of the Purchase Agreements and the start of construction from March 1st. This decision marks a new beginning for Temperley, which seeks to leave behind years of uncertainty and advance in the realization of a sports facility suitable for the needs of the institution.

The Board of Directors emphasized its commitment to transparency and the reconstruction of the club, ensuring that the process will be supervised by the Architects' Subcommittee and that sanctions will be imposed in case of non-compliance. The authorization to apply for a loan from Banco Provincia de Buenos Aires was unanimously approved, as part of the measures to facilitate the project.

During the Assembly, President Lecchi recalled his role in purchasing the property in 2017 and lamented its abandonment in recent years. Irregularities detected in the previous administration were presented, and a new work scheme with the company GGC was proposed to reorganize the project. Clear objectives for renegotiation were set, including the regularization of irregular occupations and the construction of the facility within a span of 13 months.

Secretary Daniel Martini detailed the contractual and financial situation of the club concerning GGC, highlighting the company's non-compliance with committed works. He also informed about a debt with the Almirón family, which prompted the proposal to use funds to lift the mortgage on the property. During the debate, several members expressed concerns about documentation and decisions from the previous administration, raising worries regarding transparency in the club's transactions.
