A woman living in a nursing home was reportedly abused by a man close to the victim. The incident took place on Wednesday night when a complaint was filed against an individual for an alleged case of sexual abuse against a woman residing in a nursing home in the city of Tandil.
Judicial proceedings began last Friday at the institution located at 200 Chacabuco Street, and a response from provincial authorities is awaited. According to local reports, the man was removed from the location and a restraining order was imposed to prevent him from approaching the nursing home while his involvement in the case is determined.
It was reported that the complaint was made by a male resident of the center, who allegedly provided audiovisual evidence. The alleged victim, in critical health and with reduced mobility, was transferred to Santamarina Hospital for medical evaluations after the case came to light.
The complaint is being investigated by the Prosecutor's Office of Instruction 16, led by Dr. Marcos Eguzquiza, who has taken various measures, including a raid at the home, authorized by the Guarantee Court and carried out on Friday afternoon.
