Three people died in a tragic collision between a car and a truck on Route 74, near Tandil. The accident occurred a few kilometers from the city center when the truck hit the left side of the Volkswagen Golf while trying to enter the road.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, who was traveling with his wife and his 7-year-old daughter from Misiones, was taken to the hospital, where he unfortunately passed away. The woman suffered multiple traumas, but the child is in good health. Three other occupants were injured in the crash.
According to a witness, the truck driver tried to warn the car driver by repeatedly honking to indicate that he could not turn at that moment. Despite the signals, the driver of the Volkswagen Golf decided to merge onto the road, causing the collision with the truck.
Three young people who were in the car were rescued and taken to local hospitals in critical condition. Two of them died shortly afterward, while the third remains hospitalized in a reserved state with a head trauma. The 35-year-old truck driver was also rescued by firefighters after being trapped in the cabin and turned out to be another fatal victim in this tragic incident.
