Lian Torelli, 12 years old, was found dead in Salto, a city located about 190 kilometers northwest of Buenos Aires. The boy had disappeared on Sunday, and his search mobilized local authorities and his family. His aunt, Alicia, expressed her concern before knowing the tragic outcome, mentioning the possibility that the boy had fallen into the water or that someone had taken him.
Search efforts to locate Lian were carried out on land and in the Salto River, with no positive results at first. The minor was last seen at the municipal beach, but he never arrived at his father's house as expected. In light of this situation, the police began to act ex officio, and the case became public.
After intense days of searching, a body matching the characteristics of the boy Lian was found near a bridge at the beach where he was last seen. Judicial authorities expect to carry out the necessary rescue operations and the corresponding autopsy to determine the causes of his death.
At this moment, efforts are underway to clarify whether Lian's death was accidental, if he drowned, or if he has any injuries that may have caused his demise. It is also relevant to determine whether the boy died at the location where his body was found or if it is a secondary scene. The uncertainty about what happened to the boy remains among his loved ones and the local community.
