Salta, November 14 (NA) – The Justice of Salta ruled preventive detention for a 28-year-old young man accused of the crime of grooming after contacting a minor in the locality of Molinos.
The prosecutor specialized in Cybercrime, Sofía Cornejo, requested the measure before the Guarantees Judge of the Centro district, Ada Guillermina Zunino, by maintaining that the accused pretended to be a girl and sent messages via WhatsApp to a teenager.
According to information from the local Public Prosecutor's Office accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the accused threatened him to send photographs of his genitals and intimidated him with images of the front of his home.
The judicial official confirmed that the accused is a neighbor of the victim and lives on the same block, which is why the Salta Police carried out his arrest on October 22.
The magistrate accepted Cornejo's request by considering the possible obstruction of the investigation and the risk of flight.
