In Salta, a school counselor was arrested for alleged production of child sexual abuse material, following a report made by the mother of a student at the school where he worked. The specialized prosecutor in Cybercrime, Sofía Cornejo, informed about the detention of the 51-year-old man. The investigation began as a result of the mother of a 16-year-old teenager's complaint, who discovered that her daughter had been in contact via WhatsApp with the counselor.
According to local media, in addition to contact by phone, the teenager and the counselor had allegedly met at the man's home, where the sexual content of the minor was reportedly obtained. After gathering evidence, Prosecutor Cornejo requested a search, seizure, and detention order from the Guarantees Court for the suspect's home, located in the western area of the city of Salta. The indictment hearing is expected to take place in the coming hours.
Personnel from the UDIS Investigation Unit proceeded with the arrest of the suspect and the seizure of digital evidence for further analysis. The prosecutor's office continues with the investigation to clarify the case and take appropriate legal measures.
