During a severe storm in the province of Salta, various routes were affected, complicating access to the capital city. National Route 51, at the entrance to Salta, was completely interrupted due to heavy rainfall in the area. Other routes such as National Route 9, Provincial Route 23, and National Route 68 are passable with caution, while Provincial Route 53 to Paraje Colomé is impassable due to the rise of the Amaicha River.
On National Route 40, the northern access stretch Abra el Acay is impassable due to rising streams, while the northern area towards La Poma and Paraje Buena Vista is affected by the rise of the Potrero and Blanco rivers. Provincial Route No. 42 remains passable with great caution due to accumulated mud and poor conditions from the rising of ravines.
The provincial Civil Defense Subsecretariat informs about road interruptions and recommends exercising extreme caution in the affected segments. The Salta Police maintain control in the region and request the cooperation of drivers to heed the official instructions given through the relevant channels. The adverse weather has caused issues in circulation and daily life for citizens in the area.
