Second hearing for Sena clan murder case concludes

Buenos Aires, November 27 (NA)— The second hearing in the case against the Sena clan, for the murder of Cecilia Strysowski, concluded today in the courtroom of the Second Chamber in Criminal Matters of Resistencia. The trial was adjourned until this Friday, November 27, at 9:00 AM.

During the meeting, Marcela Acuña, César, and Emerenciano Sena, who were found guilty of the femicide of Cecilia Strysowski, requested medical reports. Ricardo Osuna, one of Emerenciano's defenders, in a conversation with the Argentine News Agency (NA), detailed that the request to Judge Dolly Fernández included a medical history, a penal health file, and other documents.

In this regard, the lawyer denied that the couple had requested house arrest: "Nothing to do with it." Furthermore, he stated that his client "is in very poor condition" and added that they were now hearing witnesses for Gustavo Obregón and Fabiana González, both found guilty of covering up the crime.

Norma Silvestre, Claudia Obregón, Zunilda Lemo, Cecilia Rosana Lemo, Hugo Dellamea, and Alfredo Aguirre testified throughout this morning, in the presence of five of the six accused; Emerenciano Sena was absent due to a health problem.

On Saturday, November 15, César Sena was unanimously found guilty of the crime of aggravated homicide by reason of gender and kinship, as the perpetrator. The popular jury declared the criminal responsibility of Emerenciano and Marcela Acuña as necessary participants.

Obregón, González, and Melgarejo were found responsible for aggravated concealment, while the only acquitted person was Griselda Reinoso.

It is expected that the Sena clan will receive a life sentence given the gravity of the crime, which is femicide, in accordance with Article 80 of the Penal Code.
