Jury to Deliver Verdict in Cecilia Strzyzowski Murder Case

Resistencia, November 15 (NA) — Jury members resumed deliberations this Saturday at 8 a.m. to reach a verdict against the Sena Clan, accused of the femicide of Cecilia Strzyzowski, which occurred in June 2023. In an interview with the Argentine News Agency, Gustavo Brien, the lawyer representing Gloria Romero -Cecilia's mother-, stressed that this is a procedural hearing and that the jurors only have until 2 p.m. to agree on the ruling. Meanwhile, Ricardo Osuna, one of the defenders of Emerenciano Sena, stated: 'For the verdict to be announced today, the jury members must reach a unanimous decision.' Yesterday's hearing was extended until 7:00 p.m. after the 12 members deliberated for nearly 10 hours, which is why they requested a recess from Judge Dolly Fernández until this morning. Additionally, César Sena opted to remain silent, while his parents -Marcela Acuña and Emerenciano- reaffirmed their innocence before the Tribunal at the Center for Judicial Studies, located on Juan B. Justo 42. The son of the couple is charged with the crime of doubly aggravated homicide due to the relationship and by means of gender-based violence. His parents are accused of being necessary accomplices, while Gustavo Obregón, Fabiana González, Griselda Reinoso, and Gustavo Melgarejo are accused of alleged concealment.
