The process will begin with final instructions, after which the jury will convene to deliberate on the final decision. Although the trial was initially expected to conclude by the end of November, it has been expedited, and today the jury will deliver its verdict of guilt or innocence. In the coming days, a sentencing hearing will be held to determine the penalties. This Friday, Judge Dolly Fernández will open the session by providing the jury with final instructions, summarizing the facts and re-explaining the verdict options. Once this part concludes, the jury will retire to an adjacent room to deliberate for no more than two hours before announcing the future legal proceedings for each of the seven accused. During Thursday's session, all parties delivered their closing arguments, with both the prosecution and the civil plaintiff requesting a guilty verdict for the accused. Meanwhile, the defense attorneys for César Sena, Emerenciano Sena, Marcela Acuña, Gustavo Obregón, Gustavo Melgarejo, Griselda Reinoso, and Fabiana González urged the jury to be cautious and review the individual responsibility of each defendant.
