In Rawson, the capital of Chubut, teachers and education workers demonstrated as part of a 48-hour strike called by the sector's unions. The mobilization took place to demand salary improvements and obtain responses from Governor Ignacio Torres. Daniel Murphy, General Secretary of the Chubut Workers' Association of Education (ATECH), emphasized the importance of the call and urged to intensify protest actions.

Murphy called for the expansion of the demand and for gaining the support of the educational community, highlighting the urgency of raising awareness among families about the critical salary situation that makes it impossible to maintain public education. He also urged the adoption of a national struggle approach against the government's austerity policies.

During the march, emphasis was placed on the need to increase pressure on large companies to contribute more, which would allow for adequate allocation of resources to vital areas such as health, education, and housing, whose rights are being affected. Event participants denounced the worsening of their working conditions and the negative impact that the cuts have on the province's educational system.

The 48-hour strike will continue in the province while the teachers await a response from the government regarding the salary and educational crisis. Murphy reiterated the importance of maintaining the struggle plan and moving towards a national response against the implemented austerity measures. The mobilization received strong support from teachers from different regions of the province, who expressed their dissatisfaction with low salaries and difficult working conditions.
