Quilmes Health Workers Demand Better Labor Conditions

In Quilmes, health workers are demanding new negotiations to agree on appropriate working conditions within the framework of Law 10.471. Their main claims include salary adjustments to restore pre-agreed purchasing power, labor equity among all professionals, salary parity with workers in the Province of Buenos Aires, payment of overdue bonuses, recognition of teaching tasks, and interim placement according to current law. They also request the suspension of any labor regime changes imposed since November 1, emphasizing that such changes require prior dialogue and agreement. The professionals describe working with limited resources and great commitment, warning that discussing working conditions also means discussing the healthcare system the community will face. After two meetings with the Health Secretariat, the workers claim the dialogue space was unilaterally closed.
