New Road Construction in Quilmes

The Municipality of Quilmes reported that the construction of new asphalt blocks in the La Paz neighborhood continues. This is part of an intervention scheme aimed at improving internal connectivity, organizing traffic on key streets, and facilitating the daily circulation of residents and services. According to the Argentine News Agency, the work is part of an urban infrastructure agenda that seeks to improve road quality, reduce flooding, and shorten travel times within the area, especially during peak hours and on common routes to schools, businesses, and transport stops. The Municipality emphasized that these types of works have a direct impact on daily life: they improve access for ambulances, patrol cars, and garbage collection, and reduce vehicle wear and tear and mobility problems that worsen during rain. From the technical department, they explained that, in addition to paving, interventions usually include complementary tasks to ensure durability: leveling, base preparation, and stormwater management, with a focus on making asphalt not an isolated solution but part of a more comprehensive scheme. In parallel, municipal spokespeople noted that the phased planning aims to maintain neighborhood movement without completely cutting off the commercial dynamism of the area, prioritizing limited work fronts and organized circulation.

The local Executive highlighted that the progress in La Paz adds to other maintenance and upgrading actions in various points of the district, with the objective of improving nearby infrastructure and consolidating safer internal corridors for pedestrians and vehicles.
