Buenos Aires, November 25 (NA) – The Minister of the Interior, Diego Santilli, visited Misiones this Tuesday to meet with Governor Hugo Passalacqua to negotiate support for the 2026 Budget and the reforms planned by Javier Milei's administration, while the provincial leader presented several requests.

The meeting took place at noon at the Government House of Misiones in Posadas, as part of the round of dialogue that Santilli has been maintaining for weeks with different provincial governors.

"Both agreed to establish a common work agenda aimed at creating conditions for growth and prosperity in the province and throughout the country. They also discussed the set of structural reforms promoted by Milei and agreed on the importance of Congress accompanying the 2026 Budget Law," stated the Ministry of the Interior.

For this week, Santilli is considering the idea of adding an exchange with Jujuy's Carlos Sadir and could call another provincial representative to the Casa Rosada, as the Argentine News Agency was able to find out.

In turn, Passalacqua highlighted on his social networks that they will seek to "advance a joint work agenda on central issues for the development of Misiones".

"In particular, we raised the need to facilitate CAF financing for the 132 kV San Isidro-Alem-Oberá line; the inclusion in the 2026 Budget of the contributions and remnant of the National Treasury," he began, listing the requests he made to the national official.

He also said he requested "the reactivation of the agreements signed for the completion of works started by the Nation, prioritizing roads, schools, and housing" and the payment of "the debt of ANSES with our social security fund, not transferred, which has accumulated since 2017 and generates a problem for our public accounts; and the debt of the Nation with the Province derived from the fiscal consensus".

"In addition, we addressed issues related to agriculture and production, along with the requests already detailed by the governors of the North Grande in our last assembly. We believe in dialogue as a path to work together for the well-being of the people of Misiones and the country," concluded Passalacqua.

Thus, Santilli approaches the end of the first round of meetings with governors, as he only has left to meet with Claudio Vidal (Santa Cruz), Gustavo Valdés (Corrientes), Sergio Ziliotto (La Pampa), Claudio Poggi (San Luis), Maximiliano Pullaro (Santa Fe), Gustavo Valdés (Corrientes) and Jorge Macri (CABA), which would complete the round with the 20 leaders who signed the May Pact last year.
