The Buenos Aires justice system has ordered the suspension of all recreational motorized activities in the area known as "La Frontera," three weeks after the accident in which the boy Bastian suffered serious injuries. According to information from the Argentine News Agency (NA), the measure was issued by substitute judge Félix Adrián Ferrán of the Civil and Commercial Court No. 4 in Dolores, who granted an injunction filed by the former director of the National Road Safety Agency, Pablo Martínez Carignano. The ruling imposes the "immediate cessation" and the prohibition of skill tests, competitions, and reckless maneuvers with 4x4 trucks, UTVs, quads, and motorcycles, even if the area is privately owned, as these are risky behaviors that frequently leave children as victims.
The magistrate rejected the argument of the Pinamar Municipality about the impossibility of intervening on private properties and stated that the State must guarantee safety in the face of "serious accidents and deaths" that repeat themselves every season. The prohibition will remain in effect until the municipality ensures proper signage, delimitation, and effective supervision of the area.
