A 17-year-old teenager on vacation with his family in Pinamar was assaulted today by a group of young people, and authorities are analyzing security cameras in the area to identify the attackers. The attack occurred between 5:30 and 6:00 AM this Saturday in the parking lot of the pier in the coastal city. The victim, Thiago, was with two friends, also minors, next to his parents' car, who were fishing in the area, according to sources from the case to the Argentine News Agency. Investigators corroborated the account of one of the teenagers, who stated that a group of about six young men assaulted the victim after exchanging insults beforehand. Thiago received the most blows until the aggressors fled the scene when they noticed a police vehicle approaching. To verify the details of the attack, the analysis of security cameras, which was being carried out in recent hours, will be important. After the beating, the teenager went to the pier to alert his parents, who transported him in their vehicle to the Pinamar Municipal Hospital. He was treated and admitted until Saturday afternoon, when doctors decided to refer him due to the severity of his condition. Thiago suffered a non-surgical brain hematoma, so he was to be admitted in the coming days to the Bicentenario Hospital in Esteban Echeverría. After the complaint was filed by the family, prosecutor Juan Pablo Calderón of the Pinamar Judicial Department intervened and ordered a series of measures to locate those responsible for the attack.
