Pinamar, January 12, 2026 -- The summer season in Pinamar has been marred by a violent traffic accident that occurred in the La Frontera area, a zone known for the circulation of off-road vehicles.
A frontal collision between a red UTV and a white Volkswagen Amarok pickup truck left an 8-year-old boy in critical condition. A woman was also driving the UTV, and a man suffered serious facial injuries in the crash.
Police and judicial authorities have already launched an investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident and establish the drivers' responsibilities. For now, the drivers of the Amarok and the UTV are at the disposal of the justice system to provide testimonial statements.
Following the accident, a major emergency operation was deployed, including fire department, ambulance, and police personnel to assist the victims and preserve the scene for experts. According to the Argentine News Agency, the impact was so severe that the boy had to receive resuscitation maneuvers at the scene of the crash, initially assisted by a doctor who was coincidentally in the area.
The child was urgently transferred to the Pinamar Municipal Hospital, where he was admitted unconscious and with a serious head injury. He remains in the intensive care unit with a reserved prognosis.
