Buenos Aires, January 5 (NA) – Several drivers were detained by police officers during the “From Dawn to Dusk” operation, which involved various procedures in the coastal city of Pinamar due to dangerous maneuvers in the dunes. The operations were carried out in the area known as “La Olla,” located in the La Frontera area of Pinamar, a gathering place for adults and children. According to the police report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, “a group of drivers was detected performing drifts, reckless maneuvers, and circulating at high speed, which posed a serious risk to the physical integrity of people in the area, as well as to the intervening personnel themselves.” In response, eight people were apprehended, who were driving various vehicles, including pickup trucks and all-terrain utility vehicles (UTVs). The operation was carried out in a coordinated manner by personnel from the Community Police Headquarters, DDI Pinamar, Criminal Intelligence, GAD, GPM, Infantry, Cavalry, and Communications, successfully controlling the situation without any major incidents. The on-duty prosecutor, Sergio García, in charge of UFID No. 5 of Pinamar, ordered the seizure of the vehicles, the notification of the apprehended individuals under the terms of Article 60 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, and the formation of proceedings for violation of Article 193 bis of the Penal Code, continuing with the corresponding legal proceedings and the elevation of the file to the intervening judicial headquarters.
