Buenos Aires, November 30 (NA) -- A criminal who robbed different homes and neighbors on the street and hid the loot in a stream was arrested by the Police of Misiones. According to an investigation by the Regional Unit II of Oberá, the suspect's unusual modus operandi was revealed. He committed crimes in different parts of the city and hid the stolen goods under the waters of the Mbotaby stream, using it as his fixed point to hide the loot. One of the most recent incidents occurred on Friday at around 5:30 p.m., when Rolando Fabián E. (22), from the Copiza neighborhood, reported that while riding his bicycle on Orcadas Street, near the San Antonio field, he was approached in an intimidating manner by a subject known in the neighborhood as "el Rodri," who stole his vehicle. Immediately, officers began a search in the most trafficked areas, and upon reaching the Mbotaby stream bridge, they detected several submerged objects, one of which could correspond to the stolen vehicle. After entering the water, police managed to retrieve a 26-inch bicycle with characteristics matching those provided by the victim, which was seized and taken to the First Police Station. Continuing the investigation with information from neighbors, officers located and arrested Rodrigo A. (22) in the same area, it is presumed that he used the stream as a hiding place for stolen goods. Finally, the criminal was made available to the Justice, along with the recovered goods.
